This is a very nice campground. We stayed here for one night in September while we were passing through, and it made me want to go back for a longer stay. We stayed in site 139 in the Hoffman Loop. It was pretty spacious, and the packed dirt ground was very flat. The bath house was nice and centrally located in the middle of the circle. There was also a sink for washing dishes. We didn't notice any mosquitos, but it may be because it was late in the season. We were participating in the Maryland lighthouse challenge so we visited the lighthouse, which was very nice. There were a lot of people fishing on the causeway and near the lighthouse. I can't wait to go back.
This is a pretty good campground. We stayed here for two nights in a tent during the fourth of July. Our site was pretty spacious, and it was level. However, we paid for a water hookup site, but unfortunately, our site was just right next to a communal spigot, so we had to share it with others. I didn't think that was fair since we paid extra. Also, our site was big, but some of the primitive sites are really small. The campground is also on a huge hill, and if you are in the front sections, you have to walk up and down the hill every time you need to use the restroom. The sites at the very top of the hill have porta potties nearby. For being on a hill, though, the sites are very level. The amenities are nice, the game room has pool and ping pong plus a big screen tv. They also let you borrow board games to bring back to your site, and they have outdoor games like bocce and horsheoes for you to use. The pool is ok, a little small, but it wasn't too crowded, even though the campground was full. It was a little noisy at night, but again, we were there on a holiday, so it might not be like that all the time. Over all, this was a great campground, and I would go back again.
